I just had a quick look at the end of this and I know that Ralph Bashski ran out of money before he could complete the trilogy. However I'm sure when i watched this in the cinema several years ago there was a quick summary or precis of the ending of the trilogy so that it wasn't left hanging. The R4 version I've just got doesn't have this explanation of the ending. I thought the dvd covered the first two books.

I don't know about in the Cinema, but I remember this summary being shown after one of the screenings on channel 4 (many moons ago). It wasn't last time as I still have a tape of that, so must have been before that.

This is not shown on the region 1 either.

The DVD does cover events from the first two books. Return of the King would have been the next one. There is a Return of the King animation but it is by different animators (and to my knowledge is kiddiefied).

I just read the back of the case and it says it's based on the first two books, so it's complete with the exception of the precis.

Thanks.
