I know there are a few Spree fans that frequent the Music forum.

You can listen to a track off their new album (Together We're Heavy) here.

Shame it's real player, but it's a cracking version of the song I've heard them do live a few times.

(new wilco there too)

The new album is out early July, so I'd anticipate that they may hit some of the festivals around about then.

Excellent! I remember singing along to that very catchy song when they played Cambridge.

Cool bananas. I've not listened to them since they played in Nottingham last time round, so it's great to hear this track. I think this album is going to be a cracker, they developed a lot between releasing their first album and the last couple of gigs I saw.

that's beautiful man :)

if there's ever going to be a new pet sounds it'll be the polyphonic spree that delivers the goods - no pressure on them of course.

Do they still have an album contract in the UK still?

This is a really cool track, got high hopes for the album. Fingers crossed it'll be even better than the first. Can't wait to see them live again, awesome gig.

Im not sure if this against the T&Cs but is there any chance of someone re-recording it for me in a non-realplayer format?

I refuse to install that pile of crap on my machine after it totalled an install of Windows 2000 last time :/

Bizarrely, The Polyphonic Spree popped up on last nights episode of Scrubs in the US, and sang one of their tracks in the ward. I'm guessing the writers of the show are fans.

Very cool indeed. There was all that talk of the patient's band turning up, and what a surprise to see 30 smock-wearing individuals filing into the room! They played Light & Day/Reach For The Sun, if anyone is interested, and it was joyous.

They were on Leno last night too (don't know when it was originally broadcast). They played Light & Day/Reach For The Sun too. Strange it's not something off the new album ...

They have a couple of tracks on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I guess they're promoting those. To tie in with their new video, with the weird Jim Carrey mouth thing.
