Does anybody have any first hand experiance with this hack:
: Turn On the player and Eject the disc tray
: On the remote press 2, 8, 1, 2 followed by Enter
: This gets you to the engineers menu
: Press Down until you reach COUNTRY CODE and press Enter
: The current region code will change to four dashes (----)
: Input one number (0=Region Free, 1=USA 2=Europe, etc) and press Enter again
: The new region code will now be displayed. You can exit by just pressing the Eject button once more
It just doesn't seem to work for me. The code takes you to a menu but all I can seem to do is scroll through regions 1-6 then 9. Setting it to region 9 (which isn't actually a region as far as I know) seems to let you play both region 1 and 2 so I'm a bit confused really.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated :)
