Could anyone who has the Family Guy Uncovered DVD let me know if the episodes on that DVD can be listened to without the commentary? Also, is it possible to buy the Family Guy Uncovered DVD separate from the three season DVDs anywhere? Thanks.

I have not got the new boxset as i am not paying out another £50. So i can't comment on the commentaries. But i can tell you that Fox is no going to sell the uncovered separately for us fans who have already got the 3 seasons. Maybe if all the fans could sent a letter to complain as Fox does not responed to emails.

Ah well - probably too much to hope for that Fox would actually not screw people over. I notice one got sold a while ago in the classified forum so I've posted a WTD request there - maybe someone has one to flog.
Can't see it happening, don't care about the loyal customers who payed full whack for the series not long ago do they :nono: Same with Anchor Bay and their Evil Dead Trilogy's 4th disc of extras, it's just not fair sometimes

Well, if no-one bites on this thread (http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=282005) , Amazon do the boxed set for 40 quid so I could always buy it from them and ebay the season discs.
I had a look on eBay the other day for the Uncensored discs and the season were going for silly prices, the Uncensored disk would end up costing you £15+ which I think is a rip off for essentially a few extras.

I borrowed the box-set from a friend, so I got to watch the extras disc. To be honest, you're not missing out on much. The only solid extra is the commentaries, which are sometimes quite decent and sometimes not. They rarely say anything useful, but they can be very funny... when there aren't frequent huge silent gaps. And to answer your question: yes, the commentary episodes can be listened to without the commentary.
The other extras on the disc are mostly just fluff pieces, except for the animatic deleted scenes.
I suggest you do what I did -- find a friend who has the disc and borrow it. You certainly don't need to own it.
Is uncovered a 2 disc or 1 disc box?
