Deep Rising R?

What’s the best edition of Deep Rising that includes 5.1 surround, anamorphic video and doesn’t have enforced subtitles? And can anyone suggest a good retailer to buy it from?

I Don't think there is really a definitive DVD I'm afraid.

The region 1 disc is in non-anamorphic widescreen (2.35:1), is DD 5.1 and has a trailer.

The region 2 disc is anamorphic, but is only DD 2.0. It has a featurette as well though (a few minutes long).

I have just gone for the R2 Dutch one I just hope the subtitles are optional.

I have a R1 release by Buena Vista , from dvdsoon i think.

has 5.1, trailer, french language track, chapter search.

also states aspect ratio 2.35:1 106mins

top film + it has Famke Janssen in it

I've had the R2 for a long time now and it's one of my favourite monster movies with Famke Janssen in. :D

AFAIK the French and the Dutch versions are anamorphic with 5.1 sound. The German version is also but its picture quality is absolutely awful so stay away.
