I can get a Sony DVP-NS400S cheap, or should I go for the Toshiba (which everybody raves about...).
The reason why its a toss up between the two is that I've got a Sony KV28FX TV, and the novelty of getting a matching DVD player looks good, but the Toshiba is in the same price bracket, so which to go for...

Have looked for reviews on the SOny player, but as of yet no luck.

What do YOU recommend? :D

What YOU laughing at? :D

Couldn't find many reviews (plenty for the 300 and the 435) but there's a load of personal opinions (best type) here (http://www.epinions.com/597402_Sony_DVP_NS400D_DVD_Player)

I have a Toshiba 2019 and the Toshibas have great image quality -no doubt.

The 210 is extremely ugly though so I'd say go for the NS400.

How much you paying for it and why not go for the NS300?

Sony!
SONY!
Toshiba sucks, and always has compatibility issues with at least 1 out of 100 discs.
Sony is the best!
Especially NS400 model, as it can finally play CDR audio and video.

Reason for the NS400 instead of the 300 is because I could get it through ipoints (see bargain forum) cheaper (pound per point) than to convert the points into vouchers and spending them at Comet.

However if someone can recommend a good player which Comet sell I'd be grateful! :)
