I've noticed for a while that when I am watching cable TV (Telewest Active digital) I get a delay between the picture and the sound coming from the amp. If you turn the sound up on the TV you can hear the delay as the sound comes from the TV before it comes from the amp.
I can reduce this delay slightly by turning off all the effects on my surround amp (Sony STR-DB940) and going in to analog direct mode. The digital TV receiver is connected via standard phonos to the video1 audio phono inputs on the amp.
Has anyone else experienced such a phenomenon?
I don't notice any delay when I am watching DVD's which come via the digital coaxial cable into the amp.
Thanks,
Gid
