Final Countdown R2 details - R4 update!

Anyone got any info on The Final Countdown R2 coming out in November, aspect ratio, extra (ha!) etc...?

Wondered about this myself as the company in the States who are prepping the R1 Sp Ed seem to be taking forever. Play have it for £11.99 so worth a punt in the hopes it is w/screen.

Hope someone has some info - why is it these companies cling onto basic info like it was top secret or something?

Wow I forgot all about this, I remember reading an announcement this was coming out on R1 ages ago. I think I'll wait until it's out in R2, I never pre-order anything from this region when details are sketchy. No news on discs is usually bad news.

Still searching for details of the forthcoming R2 release I found that this film has already been released in Germany (no English audio), the Netherlands AND Australia. The R4 has the trailer and is in widescreen so as I seriously doubt the R2 will better that I'm gonna get the R4 for about £8.

Update: I emailed Blackstar and while they have no info on extras they are saying it's a pan&scan release! :eek:

Thanks for that Deaks although the R2 version is out in 3 weeks I think I'll wait to see what it's like. You never know.

...just remember: the movie was filmed in anamorphic Panavision...

The Australian disc at least offers a letterboxed 2.35:1 transfer:

...which is a whole lot better than the German DVD, which -apart from having only a German-dubbed soundtrack- is also (eeek!!!) 4:3...
