View Full Version : Bowie - All The Young Dudes - where can I get it?
Not really for me, but someone I work with is moaning that they can't find it anywhere. Any clues would be appreciated. :)
Wasn't it by Mott the Hoople?
Amazon have it here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00000G6TK/ref=sr_aps_music_1_3/202-5610783-3094200)

I think it's on the first Best Of cd - the one with the white-ish cover. It's the earlier one of two, the one with Space Oddity and all that on. The later one is 70's Eno-era stuff.

Written by David Bowie and given to Mott The Hoople to resurrect a flagging career. Which it did if my memory serves me correctly.
I've got the Mott version on Mott The Hoople's greatest hits and Bowie's version on the first DB GHs album.
Much as I love Bowie from that early 70s period I much prefer the Mott The Hoople version.

There's a great version on the Ziggy motion picture soundtrack. I haven't got the GH, so it may be the same one.
