Hands down one of the funniest British movies of all time, Oh, Mr Porter arrives on DVD 3/12 along with eight other Will Hay titles comprising:

Ask a Policeman
Boys Will Be Boys
Convict 99
Hey Hey USA
Windbag the Sailor
Good Morning Boys
Where There’s a Will
Old Bones of the River

Strangely no box set is listed and unfortunately several of Hay’s finest movies do not appear at all. Titles such as My Learned Friend, The Goose Steps Out, The Black Sheep of Whitehall & The Ghost of St. Michael's do not appear to be forthcoming from Cinema Club who are releasing the others. I’d say all are worth having as they are only £9.99 list (Play have them for £7.99 each) but if pushed I guess the only other essential title is Ask a Policeman although any film in which Graham Moffatt and Moore Marriott appear alongside Hay is more than worth your time.

I fully expect no restoration or extras of any kind but here’s hoping that VCI/Cinema Club have at least sourced decent prints.

There was I thinking December was going to be a quiet month.

Ah well, seeing as how I've just finished paying for my car.......
