Just been playing this for a while and thought id post my thoughts. The presentation seems to be top dog, has clips of the Tv episodes playing in the back gound on the title meus ect, music from the Tv show! You can chose which episdoes you want to play at the menu screen, the name of the episodes sound like some from the actual TV program, not sure if they are though, imn on the first one at the moment called, Red Falls case no. 7x97, hahah.

When you start the game you get to chose which agent you want to be, either Mulder or Scully, i chose Mulder, dont know if the game plays out differently if you chose they other, i believe it may do, as i got split up from Scully straight away, so there could be a big replay factor!! The game plays out like a TV episode, you see a starting scene, and then the TV titles start just like in the program, it is very cool! X-files fans will love how authentic and loyal to the TV program it is, which is what i was worried about!!

As usual Mulder and scully have there talk about why mulder has dragged Scully into the middle of nowhere for some case, and Mulder has his one liners too :D . The voice acting is done by the actual actors from thr TV program witch is a plus, and you dont get some two bit sound alike, which most of the time they sounded nothing like em!, not that here though thank god!!

It plays like somewhere between Silent Hill and Res evil, im not sure which its more like yet though, ill have to play more of it! At the moment am very impressed with it, wasnt expecting this to be much cop, but ive been proven wrong already!, think it will appeal not to just X-file fans too, which is a plus, but X-files fans would probably get more out of it, due to how true it stays to the TV program! Top stuff so far!!

Oh yeah i forgot to mention the FBI's number one peripheral, the torch, its in here too!!, and just like the TV program, it has massive Lens flair on it, you can blind the enemies with it

So, how come it is only £15.99 at play? It's around £30 everywhere else.

I've pre-ordered as it sounds good, esp. for that price.

this should be out this weekend, have it on pre-order at play.com.

Assume its a £20 release now, but still looks good, any other comments on how good it is, as if short and rubbish, i can get it at game instead and then take back?

recieved mine today from Play and it's alright, the Presentation side is first class, this is an interactive X-Files episode! ... which makes it more of a shame the original material wasn't used by better designers who could have done it justice.
