Seeing as i've just ordered a set and a few people on here have them (or are gonna get them at the bargain price at QED) what amp do you use with them.

I currently have the Sony 1070 from Currys (i'd just sold my Pioneer E07 so needed a stop gap and at that price who could complain). I'm looking at a Denon or Marantz to go with these, but would like to get feedback from people currently using them.

I have the Denon AVR-1801.

It's very good both musically and movie's are ace.

If I was getting one now, I'd get either the Denon AVR 1602 or the Marantz 4200.

I'd probably get the Marantz as I've had the 4100 hundred for a year and would be nice to have one controller for both.

As soon as mine arrive, I'll let you know how they sound with the SR5200 :)

thanks for the replies guys.

I was thinking about the denon 3802 or marantz 7200, but cash is a little tight and I think one of the lower down amps would do them justice.

So a 2802 (not sure how much these are, i'll have a look) or a 5200 it is - probably.

whats wrong with the 1070? I mean, its a pretty new amp, great reviews and its 6.1. I've got the 940 with the FS2 setup and it sounds great. Are you sure you're not caught in the throes of 'update-itiss'??! ;)

no, maybe, er, definitely - but there's something about Sony amps that I don't quite like, personal preference I suppose.
