My passion has always been soundtrack (scores not compilation albums) - so if anyone has any questions like -
who did what?
who is doing what?
what else a certain composer has done?
music used on trailers?
ask me and I shall do my best to inform....

I believe the music on the LOTR trailer is Enya. She's doing the full soundtrack.
What's the name of the music on the trailer of The Matrix?
Cheers
There is a track called "Candyman Theme" by Philip Glass on Audiogalaxy.....don't know if it's the right name or what though.

The opening is from minimalist master Philip Glass - it is he who wrote the score - you can buy the soundtrack from Amazon.com priced $17.99
Hope that is what you're after....

It is really annoying when that happens, there are loads that I've been after and can't get.
Short of breaking into the studios themselves, I've found nowhere that sell promo copies. Although they do sometimes materialise - thy can be VERY expensive.
There are tracks from David Newman's Galaxy Quest knocking about - I got one off napster a while ago.
To my knowledge, Richard Marvin's score for U-571 never got a release.

Forget Napster - File sharing lives on in a big way.
Just download WinMX (http://www.winmx.com)!
You're not just restricted to .mp3s either. I just did a search for 'America's Sweethearts' (Video files) and I got results. No that I'm about to download 270MBs on my puny 56k modem...
Of course this is all completely naughty, etc, etc........:p

Hey, I found somewhere!
www.supercollector.com do loads of hard to get soundtracks, including promo copies of U-571 & Galaxy Quest (if you look hard enough)!!
A bit pricey, but hey, small price to pay for such great sounds.
Officially a Happy Bunny :D :D :D

I get all my *cough* unofficial *cough* soundtracks from this place:
I've been looking for that for ages! (http://http://www.movieboulevard.co.uk)
managed to get
Predator
Candyman
Innerspace
Starship Troopers (complete)
Witches of eastwick (complete)
Blade Runner (complete)
Species
Batman and Robin
amongst others. Not a cheap hobby, but bloody satisfying when you get hold of a beloved score that the studios can't be bothered to release.
