Okay, I've just changed the connection from my dvd player to my tv from RGB to S-Video, I can't see any paticular difference in quality. Does anyone have the technicalities of why it is better ?
Cheers in advance.

Theoretically, RGB is meant to be the best quality, as the colour signals are kept separate (essentially the DVD player is directly driving each colour gun in your TV - some TVs won't let you adjust the colour in RGB mode for this reason).
S-video is a very close second - it works by separating the chroma and luminance signals. Composite video is nowhere near the quality of RGB or S-video.
However, because of the differences in quality of RGB and S-video circuitry in TVs, some people find that the S-video signal gives a slightly better picture.
Try both, and see which you prefer.
