ClearVision have confused me with this one; compared with Series One they've really pushed the boat out on the menu stuff (by their standards anyway), and then you come to the episodes and they are SO quiet. The theme music on the main menu is tons louder than any of the episodes. I have to crank my TV up to 63/63 to get a decent volume and then it's still all pretty tinny. I usually watch DVDs at a volume around 33/63...
I didn't expect DTS or EX 6.1 or anything flash (!), certainly for what the box cost for four discs, but this sound imbalance seems very strange and severe, and it's not a problem I found with the Series One box. The sound is SO low it almost seems like a mastering error.
Anyone else got the Series Two set and noticed this?
(Incidentally, the email address ClearVision supply onscreen on their discs seems to be a non-event. Otherwise I'd be asking them directly if they were considering a recall.)
