Does anyone know of any Sky deals on at the moment?

I'm looking to get it for the footy and cricket and was wondering if there are any special offers on at the moment i.e. installation etc.

£1 installation but you do have to subscribe to Sky World package which is £40 per month.

How long would one have to stick with the £40 package? Is it easy to switch to a cheapy £16.50 option?

You have to stay with the £40 package for one month, then u can choose the £19.50 option.
(never heard of the £16.50 option)

BUT you might get hit for 2 months @ £40.

Funny thing is, I was in Tescos last week and a Sky dude was in there promoting a £10 install (+the £40 package) - i laughed and said "How comes your website is doing the same deal for £1 and you're doing it for £10?" - he muffled something and went to help someone else. :/

Thanks for the info - there are four £16.50 packages to choose from according to Sky's site:
