has anyone else seen this yet
i thought the ending was quite poor
i felt that a lot of things weren't explained
there didn't seem to be a motive for the killer
why and how did he morph into the bird/bat type monster
What happened to the people down under the church?
there was a part saying that it burnt down and no-one would ever know what happened down there, i presume it was the killer who burnt it down, but again this was not explained
what did you think?
it was genuinely scary in parts but i have a mixed reaction to the actual plot of the film
films don't have to answer every question, if they did then they'd be bogged down. Every question you had was either explained or easy to figure out.
I would explain but I don't know how to use the spoiler tags!
Jonathan, what kind of answer are you looking for to your second question ?!
I thought the film was excellent, it was very well done.
the ending was excellent i thought and deffo left me looking forward to seeing the sequel if its made.
This is one film i will be adding to my DVD collection as soon as it comes out.
I also thought the film was really good. A marvelous first half hour and a great ending slightly let down by an ordinary middle section which suffers from a textbook case of "Show Me The Money" (if you know what I mean).
I though the fact that everything wasn't explained was good, although it could be seen as blatantly setting itself up for a sequel.

by the way, I've seen copies of this on ebay, are they pirates or what?

look , we are now talking about the upcoming dvd release, so it is in the right section .... :)
i am defo going to buy this in jan. IMO it was an excellent film and really scary parts. I was a bit dissapointed that justin long died because he acted the part out well. Can't wait for a sequel.
Maybe we will see the girl when shes old and the demon revists her. i dunno
what do u think would be a good sequel for it?
I am getting the creeps that some people on these forums actually liked this. Around 100 people watched this when I did. 8 people walked out. At the end, the cinema erupted in jeers. Although I usually despise this behaviour, I actually didn't mind, because I have never felt so cheated by a film before.
Here are more of my thoughts which were posted in the cinema forum.
Please, please, please - don't go and see this utter garbage. My last 2 visits to the cinema have resulted in me seeing the 2 worst films of my 26 year life - this and Planet of the Apes. What I can't understand is that most critics gave it a favourable review. That's the last time I pay attention to critics or see anything with Francis Ford Coppola's name attached to it. I have never seen anyone detoriate so badly. Next he'll be directing episodes of Neighbours. Oh.. and I am a horror fan, and this makes the truly dire Scream 3 look like a masterpiece.

Definitly need a spoiler button....
Agree with you, mate, but I have a different kind of button in mind for this continuing lack of consideration. Use the bloody spoiler button, for god's sake.
Does anyone else think it was like a very average episoe of the x - files?
i've not seen this but a friend of mine has. apparently it's the first major hollywood film to be written by a convicted child abuser. the 'preditory' element of the film takes on a whole new meaning.

What apart from the other 3 films he wrote/directed after he was convicted, especially Powder.
