Jet Li's The Evil Cult

I just watched this enjoyably poor film (best subtitles in the world! ever!) and was wondering about the ending...

I assume from the ending with the bad woman flying away reminding Jet Li about his last promise that there was meant to be a sequel... Did this ever get made, and if not, why not! :D

I believe the movie ends at the midpoint of the story. There was supposed to be a sequel, but it didn't get made. Apparently, poor box office was to blame.

As soon as the film finished I went online to buy the sequel and was as disappointed as you are. Shame, as it was (IMO) a great film (especially the old laughing guy chained to the boulder who was completely :nuts: )
