Anyone know when season 2 will be released? , i can't wait to own the whole seasons on dvd,
also they have to do a tree house of horror collection,

Whats everyones fav simpsons tree house of horror episode?

A Treehouse of Horror boxset would be ace, but the best one is the very episode you are talking about - especially when Homer's head gets turned into a doughnut!

the next boxset is rumoured to be out by christmas but i would have expected pre-orders to be taking place now if that was the case

my favourite tree house of horror bit is where homer goes into the 3d cyberworld :)

indeed there is. it's only a guesstimate based on fox releasing two seasons of each of their TV properties each year, but regardless this will likely be the case.

that was the original word and seemed to be backed up by al jean telling thedigitalbits a few weeks ago that they had already recorded the commentaries. however, on tuesday the simpsons archive (http://www.snpp.com/) had this to say:

"There's still no official word on the release of the season 2 DVD boxed set. Fox Home Entertainment was originally aiming for a Christmas release, but today it seems unlikely. However, according to their plan to release two sets a year it should be out within 6 months.

Unofficial discussions with people promoting the Simpsons DVD sets in Canada suggest that May or June is the likely date. "

Season 2, as already mentioned, is 99.9% certain to be next year, not this year. It should be noted this is for marketng reasons alone. The people involved with the first season DVDs have confirmed that work on the the second is complete.
