Anyone had experience with these gizmos? 15 metres of cable allowing you to watch the same SKY channel in another room for £40? Is the picture quality alright?
Thanks for any help

The tv-link only allows you to control the digibox from the room that has the link in.
You can just buy however much coax you need and plum it in without the link if you're either not bothered about using the remote or you got a remote extender already.
I've got one in the bedroom, but not in the kitchen as I'm quite capable of moving the short distance between there and the lounge.
What you might need is a signal booster depending on how far you're going and how many tvs you're feeding.

The way I understood was that you buy the link and an extra remote and this allows you to link up sky into another room and change channels from the second room through some kind of supplied IR sensor?
Is this not the case? Its going 15 metres and only onto one tv.
As I said your only getting the use of the remote for your money, coax is coax (at least in this instance)!
You're probably alright with just the cable the way you want it. You can get the tv-link and another remote for £30 if you don't get the cable with it. Cable shouldn't be more than £4, a couple of connectors and a wall plate if you want to be tidy.

I got the tv link when I first got digital installed. After some initial teething problems for the engineer it has been working fine with no reduction in picture quality. I believe that there were some problems with the first batch but should be alright now. You get an extra remote and a little "tear-drop" shape ir sensor which enables you to change channels in the other room. The length of cable for me was approx 20m.
