Alphaville (Criterion) & Godard

Is Criterion´s Alphaville THE release of this great film? I have to get this. Is full screen the right aspect ratio?

And further, can you recomment other Godard -dvd´s?

I think it probably is THE release. It might be the only release. No sign of a french release.

Criterion say that 4:3 is the correct ratio, and they're not often wrong.

The UK r2 version of A Bout de Souffle is the only other one I have, and it's pretty good.

There are some others available in the USA. Check Amazon.com

There are some not many in France, but without english subtitles.

Alphaville is one of my favorite films. Watched it in the college library about 7 years ago when I had some free time one morning. Takes a bit of patience to watch, but I was glad to have seen it. The Battle of Algiers is another college library favorite. :D
