View Full Version : Your Childrens' top 10 DVDs.
My 3 year old's (newly updated) top 10 DVDs** are:
Shrek
Jurrasic Park
Jurassic Park 2
Jurassic Park 3 (don't ask:rolleyes: )
Disney's Dinosaur
Toy Story 2
Toy Story
The Iron Giant
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Chicken Run
** Tip: ask them to choose a DVD they want to watch and keep refusing and asking them to pick another one until you get 10;) .
I haven't got any kids but I'd train them to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang religioiusly. As that was my fav film as a kid.
Then at haloween I'd dress up as the child catcher and scare them to death :D

Now that's an idea!;)
In order of how many times these have been spun
Toy Story 2
Toy Story 1 (in Ultimate Toy Box Collection)
A Bugs Life
Stuart Little
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - Collectors Edition
Tarzan
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command
A Tigger Movie
Kult Kids Classics
Dinosaur (disney)
Seem to give Disney a lot of cash! Snow White, being new, is the current favourite. Shrek and Emperor's New Groove on the way.
Most of the above is actually quite enjoyable for adults with the exception of Dinosaur which is brutally awful.

She gets more value out of the DVDs than I do. :p
Ollie (4)

Toy Story 1
Buzz Lightyear of Star Command
Danger mouse 1 & 2
Toy Story 2
Tweenies

I have to agree with Bapapapa, my kids' DVDs are easily the best value purchases based on numbers of viewings. I rarely get time to watch mine more than once, but you can almost justify the Disney marketing machine when faced with yet more of this:
A Bug's Life
Snow White
Tarzan
Toy Story 1 & 2
Musn't forget The Iron Giant, most popular non-Disney title in the house.
Monsters Inc next December?
If we can take my 4 year old daughter's current obsession with my (my !) Simpsons box set out of the equation, because it's too early to say if the novelty will wear off yet, I'd say it's :
The Flumps (very keen)
Mary, Mungo and Midge (quite keen)
The Iron Giant (3 or 4 viewings in 2 years)
Wh.......Wh........Wh.....What about Rainbow!
Yesh!
Silent Bob

Good to see your lil one taking interest in the more "classical" of childrens entertainment Bap, but how on earth did she discover BOD in the first place. :D
Chloe (age 5) as just pointed out her Top 10 in no specific order.....
Cats & Dogs
Digimon The Movie
Pokemon The Movie 2000
Pokemon The Movie 3
Rugrats in Paris
The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle
The Little Vampire
The Tigger Movie
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
I was quite surprised that 'A Bug's Life' and 'Chicken Run' didn't get a mention, 'Shrek' i'm sure would've made it in there as she loved that at the cinema, shame she as to wait 'til Xmas before she gets her grubby mits on it. :p
One she isn't very keen on is 'Dinosaur' due to her really not liking the 'Meteor Shower' scene....she loves 'Vampires' but hates 'Meteor Showers'!?!?!?!?

Tarzan was a BIG fave until be snapped it in two!
TS2 is his absolute fave. He watches it at least twice a day!
Another one for the dinasour lovers - "The Ballad of Big Al"
"Rugrats in Paris" does down very well too.

Why deny her the pleasure??!!
And yourself!:D
My 3 yr old is so much into Dinosaurs in general it borders on obsession! We even took him to see JP3 at the cinema with full on DTS and he wasn't scared!!
He hates Teletubbies though;)

Three boys aged 6, 4 and 2... needless to say the six year old decides most of what they watch....
Thunderbirds (lumping all 8 disks together)
Stingray
Captain Scarlet
Toy Story 2
Toy Story 1
A Bug's Life
Buzz Lightyear movie (can't remember the title)
Chicken Run
Antz
and agree with previous comments that they get much better value from these in terms of repeated, repeated, repeated viewings..
