With screen shots identical to the ones I made for this review (http://www.dvddebate.com/article.php?sid=3836) that I wrote in January. Spooky...

You can find our region 2 review of OUATIM here (www.dvddebate.com/article.php?sid=4031&mode=&order=0&thold=). and our Region 1 review was posted in early January here (www.dvddebate.com/article.php?sid=3836).

A quick check sees that Mr Booth is not averse to, ahem, borrowing our team's fine work...

Italian Job remake (which is doubly poor, because our review was the Region 1, and his the Region 2):

Us (www.dvddebate.com/article.php?sid=3610)

Him (www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=6767)

Tears Of The Sun:

Us (www.dvddebate.com/article.php?sid=3949)

Him (www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=10552)

This really does give DVD Times an undeserving bad name.

I've removed all of the offending images and have already apologised to Chris. This won't happen again.

Strangely all gone now. Hmm. I always thought DVDdebate were number one for reviews, now i know they still are. Accept no substitutes or rip offs!!

I think that's a little harsh. I don't condone the nicking of images, but the reviews themselves are original and not 'rip offs'.

Maybe I was Harsh, but you can't be much more misleading than using screengrabs for a review of a disc that aren't even from the same region.

The images were only there for illustrative purposes. However, I do agree with you and I'll certainly be making sure that this isn't going to happen again in the future.

Can I just ask something about posting these external reviews on individual threads in the first place?

- Why? This is probably the 4th or 5th review thread for OUATIM we've had. Why not just have the one?

Many thanks for sorting that out, Colin. Much appreciated.

Because DVD Times and the DVD Forums are linked and thus DVD Times reviews deserve threads of their own.

That's misleading - that suggests that I borrow your team's work of reviews, which is totally untrue. The images are not your team's work, but the work of the studio/distributor, and I used them - as Colin mentioned - for illustrative purposes only. No other part of my reviews have been copied from anywhere else.

I have apologised already, and can assure you this won't happen again. But, please do not resort to name calling or making misleading statements.

My apologies for that Rik. My statement was about the work involved in selecting, taking, cropping, uploading, etc the screengrabs, rather the work of writing the review text itself. It was never my intention to imply that you plagarised the reviews themselves, and I wouldn't want to give anyone that impression.

Well, while the copyright of course belongs to the respective studios, the act of selecting, capturing, cropping, uploading, etc the screengrabs is our work, and is of course time consuming. That was the reason for my initial complaint, rather than any copyright arguement.

Indeed you have, and that is very much appreciated.

:)

I have also posted a similar reply in the DVD Debate Forum post.

Seems rather petty to me.

Nobody who takes a screen grab of a movie actually owns it and pressing a key whilst running powerdvd is hardly time consuming work.

Just rented it.
YUK! What a horrible mess of a movie.....................still I liked his home studio in the extras.
