Mine popped onto my doormat this morning, it's an anamorphic widescreen picture with dolby digital stereo sound.

Extras include some production notes and photos, plus a couple of bonus tracks White Riot and English Civil War (Even though the box lists it as American Civil War, obviously not a clash fan doing the packaging).

Picture are sound are pretty good, I've only ever seen it once before on film 4 a few years ago and it certainly looks a lot better than it did then. I've not watched it all the way through so I can't really comment but it does look pretty good and also sounds great too.

I dunno if you've seen the film before, it's quite odd but very enjoyable. It's the story of a guy going nowhere who starts working for clash, but it's quite a loose story, hard to explain a bit like a fly on the documentary but not quite.

The performances by the clash are stunning their energy, passion and sound are phenomenal the footage in Victoria Park is amazing, their look on stage is inspirational. The studio footage of Mick Jones performing Stay Free (my personal favourite clash song) is remarkable

This is a disc I never thought would be released as it’s got quite a small appeal, but I’m so glad it’s out I can finally stop worrying about my precious VHS copy from film 4 snapping. It’s a great price too, well worth a look if you are interested in The Clash and the state of England in the late 70’s. Essential if you are a fan.

I was 5. The stuff from that era is untouchable - wish I`d been a bit older to appreciate it at its time. Anyone got a time machine??:D

I was 13 at the time, I remember peely did a session from the soundtrack, if I can remember he played amazing versions of white riot, Janie Jones and Safe European Home.

Truely awesome.

77-80 was agreat time for UK music.

I saw (and met) the Clash during the London calling tour at Dundee Caird hall.I also saw them with Theatre of hate at Glasgow Apollo on the Sandinista tour.
When I saw Rude boy on it's original release various dodgy members of the audience were pogoing and spitting on the screen during the musical numbers, causing the police to be called.
Punk rock

....do you know that the Caird Hall gig was actually filmed by Don Letts?....unfortunately the film went up in flames in some warehouse fire...what a ******!!!...imagine watching all these Dundonian punks throwing pies instead of spitting:D

Was'nt at the gig myself as I lived in Falkirk at the time...did see them at the Apollo in glasgow in the Seventies and Edinburgh in the Eighties (London Calling) though! Top band live.

Was 16 in 1980....still act like it now:D
