Watched Shaolin Soccer last night, far from being the funniest movie ever (which many people and forumites seem to be claiming) but it was fun and enjoyable.

Has anyone seen The Good of Cookery (AKA Shi Shen) It's another Stephen Chow film that appears to have a decent rating at the imdb. Just wondering if anyone here's seen it and what they thought.

EDIT - Heres a link http://us.imdb.com/Title?0116426

Definitely worth a watch, if you enjoyed Shaolin Soccer you should like it. It's less than a tenner delivered from DDDhouse.com

I've mentioned God of Cookery a few times as one of my favourites... If you like Shaolin Soccer, I think you'll enjoy it.

However, it does contain references to other films - especially God of Gamblers, plus old Shaw Bros Shaolin temple films, and some great anime spoofing... but if you've watched a handful of Hong Kong movies, you'll coast it. :D

Yeah I've seen it and I do like it. The comedy in this is again more thoughtful than the other rubbish he churns out.

Cirrus, you know that's gonna get a few BBC's on your tail. :D
But God of Cookery is a good example after Shaolin Soccer. Then people who haven't already, should pick up From Beijing With Love. These being his most accessible films to english speakers.
