The one's on TV, usually for some cleaning stuff, soap, or various "Women's" products. What's with the dubbed voices :suspect:

Using blatantly foreign ad's and dubbing them into English is just crap.

Just one of those little things that gets my goat.

Rant over:D

I've noticed several ads that air both here and in England with the same actors but with different accents. They even dub if it's the same language.

I hate these ads.. I end up rewinding them on Sky+ just to point them out to the missus... Colgate are a prime offender. :|

I seem to remember Just for Men being one of the earliest offenders... :suspect:

And yes, it's terrible. :gag:

There is one on Sky News every morning for some Thrush product blatant dubing. I dont know whats worse the Dubbing or the Advert trying to flog cream for itchy area's when I'm eating my breakfast.

Isn't this an actor's union thing ? Something like: US actors not in UK Equity are not allowed to be paid for voicework on UK TV adverts ? Or sumfink ? Films are obv. different.

Mike.

There's one around for itch-cream for women that has already been mentioned. It really is SO bad.

But the one that annoys me, because it is on EVERY Sky News ad-break, is the one for Alliance and Leicester loans, where they've dubbed a 'fake' Irish accent over some poor bloke.

It's VERY annoying! But like all car-crash telly, completely watchable just to see how bad it is.

Does anyone remember Silas Mariner and Heidi that were on when I was a kid. They were programmes in the mornings shown on the Beeb during summer holidays.

Now THEY were bad.

The Kinder adverts were always the worst ones for me, that one with the two women running through the park especially...

the car tax ads "we only need to look here" are dubbed in a northern irish accent for NI regional telly but I've also heard them in an english accent (perhaps on sky or something)Originally posted by StuBruise

Those bloody adverts on E! for those "Ab Force" belts (2 for £20 for what seems like a lifetime) are the ones which are the most hilarious.

Check out the dodgy shaving thing for women by the same folk, with the badly dubbed "you get it all" woman!
