FIFA order Real to cough up (http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/mar3j.html)
Finally Real will cough up tha cash for Big Ron
FIFA have once again decided in favour of Inter in the on-going row with Real Madrid and the Spaniards have 30 days to hand over £19m.
The verdict on Real’s appeal was passed during the meeting on Feb 29, but has only now been officially confirmed.
On August 31 2002 Ronaldo moved to Madrid in exchange for £23m
If they are unable to comply, then Inter could theoretically take a player worth that amount instead.
There are already reports that the player in question will be Luis Figo, as Ronaldo has this week extended his contract until 2008 so a return to the San Siro is highly unlikely.

have they not got the money? surely they must have budgeted for the two remainding payments on the transfer fee?
Figo is worth nowhere near £19m by the way at his age:cuckoo:
I cant see how FIFA could force a player to go to Inter - maybe they wont be able to afford Henry now:suspect:

Like Henry is going anywhere :nono:
Makes a change the Italians being in the right on an issue like this. Remember Lazio trying to wriggle out of paying United for Jaap Stam?
Real have always seemed to keep on spending regardless of whether they have any money or not. Then, when there's a financial crisis, the banks come along and bail them out. I don't know how they do it.

I've got a better idea, why dont Inter just get all of Real’s Champions League swag for this season. That should some way towards paying back £19m.

I think any club that doesn't meet it's side of an agreed transfer deal should be banned from signing any new players for say 12 months, as well as being punished financially, that would cause a few foreign clubs a lot of problems!

I also thought an embargo was put on any transfers, like what happened at Lazio over Stam, or is an exception made as its Real. The question of whether or not they have the money is a no existent one, as they are bank rolled by the Spanish Royal family, who every so often wipes out their dept.
