I'm going to buy one of the 3 tv's below but i can't decide which. So which of these do you think would be best? Or are there any better alternatives at a similar price?

HITACHI C24W430N (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?modelcode=HIT-C24W430N) - £312

JVC AV24WT5 (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?modelcode=JVC-AV24WT5) - £300

PHILIPS 24PW6005C - £336

Quite a lot of replies! :D

I'd say go for the Philips,

Hitachi TVs I've never liked (great technology -badly put together) and JVC would be better sticking with VCRs.

That's a good price on the Philips too.

You may only want a 24" of course, but to put a possible spanner in the works, Costco will be selling the Philips 28PW6006 for £352 next week (including VAT) - this is supposed to be a pretty good tv, and if you are a member of Costco or know someone who is ...

Thanks but I only want a 24" and that TV is only £320 at unbeatable co.uk.

Anyone else have an opinion? :)

Thanks for the answer APPRIA40WR. :)

Don't forget about P&P! The JVC is cheaper at www.storeplus.co.uk because delivery is included in the price. (it's cheaper still if you sign-up for your own free store!)

EDIT Ah i did a product search and there were 2 matches and the other is £326.

...and my wife (who has signed up for her own storeplus free shop) would get that TV for approx £285 delivered , when the commission paid to her is taken into account! A great idea IMHO! BTW, before you use empiredirect, it may be wise to have a look at some customer's experiences with this company:

...or you could always spend just £50 more and get a superb flat screen model here:

And here's the obligatory favourable review:

Happy hunting!
