View Full Version : Pierrot Le Fou R2 info?
There are apparently two different R2 versions of Pierrot le Fou available, one put out by Studio Canal and one put out by another company with which I'm unfamiliar. Anyone know about the situation w/English subtitles on these DVDs or any other possible differences between the two? How about information on how either or both of these R2 editions stack up against the R1 release by WinStar?

The French DVD that I have (Les Films de ma Vie) definitely does not have subtitles - in any language.
A pity, because it's a good anamorphic transfer - comfortably the best I've seen the film look.
Michael, so this isn't the Studio Canal version? Is this the edition with the black cover containing a small-ish image within a circle?

The Studio Canal version does have english subs! I've just found this out myself, and am rather pleased.

I'd been fooled by looking at dvdfr.com which didn't list any details, so I thought there were no subs at all. Well, I think I'll be buying it now. :)
