As much as I'd like to see the documentaries, I think I'll stick to my original R2 disc, as I'm fed up with all these reissues and the picture quality doesn't seem to be *so* much better

What we're waiting for is the announcement of the R2 boxset.

Just get the R1 box set, sell The Dead Pool starring Liam "I’m not too fussy what I appear in" Neeson and you’ve got yourself a decent set of movies. Granted they decline in quality as the series progresses but I’d still argue that they’re all worth having save for the aforementioned execrable Dead Pool made during Clint’s wilderness years along with the truly dire Pink Cadillac and The Rookie.

I know what you mean by the last 2 Dirty Harrys.

I've gone for the box set for £49.99. I could've got the first 3 movies (I enjoyed them all very much) for £14.99 each, but for an extra fiver it's like getting a 'Special Edition' where Sudden Impact and Dead Pool are a couple of 'cool' extras.

I'll be sticking with my 'old' UK Region 2 Dirty Harry too.

Definitely give The Enforcer and Magnum Force a look though (although they ain't nowt special -still nice to see 'em in widescreen).
