Mansun Update

Hello,

Good news for Mansun fans. I've had word from Parlophone today that a new CD and DVD release will take place this year.

Official confirmation of this to the press will take place "in the very near future".

I would assume we are looking at a greatest hits CD and DVD.

I doubt there'll be much in terms of new stuff, save for the odd track tacked on the end of the greatest hits CD.

It maybe that they choose to release the finished album after all - now Draper is back in the UK things really are progressing.

More news when I get it.

Cant wait for this, I hope its the release of "the album which never was" as opposed to a greatest hits album, but either way its good :thumbs:

There should be at least 70 minutes space at the end of their "greatest hits" cd. Perhaps a hits flexi disk might be more appropriate?

Can't say I'd be interested in a Greatest hits album as I already have all the LP's and most of the EP's. Depends what's on the DVD as to whether I get that.

Here's hoping they do release the last album. It would be a big waste of a great band's final musical moments, album sales, royalties, promotional possibilities for solo careers, etc. if they didn't.

Well I for one think this is brilliant news - thanks Gissing for the info - a DVD package in particular would be great - i also really like their videos - I have a battered VHS with the video the Legacy on it which I watch from time to time - one of the best videos ever in my view.

I already have a copy of this CD! It was issued to press and a few people a couple of years ago.

Theres nothing to say that it WILL be a "singles" CD, but I guess its possible.

there *is* a chance it could be a rarities CD.

also hearing rumors of stove being sacked which lead to the band splitting... and also that Paul Draper will be doing a joint single with Skin from skunk anansie.
