R2 Exodus

Anyone know if the R2 version of Exodus is anamorphic - the R1 version wasn't.

Received this last week from Splash.
Picture is non anamorphic 2.35/1 widescreen and has to be one of the worst transfers I have ever seen including shimmering and flicker along with a multitude of print damage especially at the beginning of the film. Even worse when having to zoom on widescreen tv.
Mgm have just chucked this classic film onto Region 2 dvd without any care at all(Region 1 supposedly just as bad).
Only good point for me was being able to see it in widescreen for the first time.

The R1 is even worse. I already owned the R1 but bought the R2 because Play advertised it as being anamorphic :mad:. And like on the R1, MGM dumped the intermission for the R2 :mad:. Sadly I can't see this getting a decent release anytime soon so we'll have to live with it.
