I like it, plus the star looks cool.

Looks good - I like the St Georges cross on the shoulders.

Mentioned a couple of weeks back that I thought it looks a very little bit like the Denmark kit!

Why change it?

Definitely, much better then on the sleeve as in the home kit.

I quite like it although Umbro seem to have ditched the value for money reversible idea.

Just spotted this also

Seems Umbro's individual designs are not what it seems, the Norway away kit is identical to the England home kit (minus the gold star obviously ;))

The single star kinda puts into perspective how poorly we have done in the game we gave the world. :D

It was featured on Soccer AM on Saturday too. Silver shorts!

Personally, I think it's rather kewl.

A few years back West Ham played against a team in the Intertoto that were also using a slightly tweaked England kit.

New away kit looks fine.

2 years to be precise. :D They even put the sell by date on my previous England home shirt.

Not the best picture but you can find it here (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/england/3521763.stm)

I'm glad they have got rid of the annoying collars from past strips.

£1 deposit secures shirt and dvd from sports soccer or soccer world - depends on the shop - and then only £30 for adults or £20 for kids!!!

I would predict that the shirts will retail for £24.99 like the previous home and away kits. Expect a price war.

sorry i meant why is the star on the shirt

defweb
02-06-2004, 18:09
star on the shirt signifies how many times we have won the world cup. A few other teams adopted this trend, italy for example

unrealnils

Its represents that England have won a world cup.

Every time you win it you can have a star on you're kit to show so.

Italy have three on there's.

They do this in some league's to but the star normally represents 10 title wins

wozwebs

It symbolises the World Cup win in 66.

Other countries have always had them (Brazil etc.) but we haven't until Soccer AM on Sky campaigned for one and Umbro put it on the latest home kit and this new away kit.
