I think it's pretty much the same as the rest but comes in an amaray. It has two discs but the 2nd is a complete waste of space - has a 40min doco. and nothing else!

The R2 comes in an amaray with a slipover sleeve too.

The 2 disc was required for the R2/4 version as picture quality was compromised with the single disc R1 version. (PAL uses slightly more space and so the picture would have been even more affected)

Thanks guys

Weird though because according to Ezy DVD (link to disc here) it's a single disc, not two

Anyway I was wondering if the R4 version is uncut UNLIKE the R2?
Thanks again

Hold it!

There are TWO R4 versions. The Special Edition is the two-disc version most have referred to here, and that is about the same price as it ever was. The one currently on special at Ezy (and in most stores across the nation as a promotion of some sort) is a single-disc version, presumably missing most or all of the SE goodies. My brother's got the R4 SE so I don't think I'd risk bothering with the single disc version.

There is a similar situation with Fight Club: the cardboard-cover two-disc R4 SE is long gone (although one pops up as old stock in shops sometimes), but the two-disc SE may still be around in a double Amaray. Once again, the one currently on special is a single-disc version with a different cover design.

Hope that helps.
:)

some of the R4 online stores still have the 2 disc Braveheart SE.

you could try Family Box Office (http://www.fbo.com.au/)

or DVD Stop (http://www.dvdstop.com.au/shop/shop.asp)

or TopShop DVD (http://topshop.com.au/dvd/)

these 3 have Braveheart SE listed as in stock.

I have noticed with B&M stores here in Australia that very few have stocks of the 2 disc sets of Braveheart, Fight Club and Independence Day. All seem to be stocking the new 1 disc versions.

So if you want the R4 you better get in quick before all the 2 disc sets disappear.

Like I said, it's a waste of space! :D

Thanks, that's interesting and certainly news to me
Anyone know if it's uncut though, cheers

I think it is cut because I can remember people paying silly amounts of money for the French release when it first came out as it was the only uncut PAL region.
Having said that, the cut is so tiny & takes place during such fast scenes that its unnoticable, certainly isnt worth avoiding the R2/4 for being cut.

and the R1 isnt an option given how bad the transfer is.
