This is the pilot of a female batman-style series from a couple of years ago. I'm trying to confirm the content of two different editions on R1.

Joan Severence was in the two pilot movies but replaced for the series. I've just bought a copy of the pilot and it's missing an interview and commentary that I've seen mentioned online. My copy has "Roger Corman Presents" across the top of the cover but I've seen another that doesn't. Can you check which your brother has?

Also, I don't suppose he wants to sell the series does he? It would save me ordering it and risking customs?

The first movie isn't bad (by corman standards of course) but I wouldn't get excited about the extras on it, a very brief interview with Joan Severance and a commentary where she disappears half way through the film! I felt like a right chump sitting their for 15 minutes waiting for her to speak again and she doesn't!

2nd movie is pretty poor IMHO

TV series is truely awful (but i think, so bad it's good!) The same crashes and car chases are used repeatedly in episode after episode.

BTW the first two episodes of the TV series were released on a separate disk and I think this is the cause of the confusion here as it is being marketed as a new pilot movie but it isn't - it's on the full season disk and stars Michelle Lintel not Joan.

Thanks for the info but that's not the problem. The recent release of two series episodes is called "Sting of the Scorpion" but there are defiantely two releases of the original pilot. The one I have doesn't even have a menu screen, it just goes straight into the move after a couple of logo's. This edition has "Roger Corman Presents" on the cover. The one with the "extras" doesn't.

Joan Severance is so sexy:luv: Must make a note to buy some of her more 'important' films. :D

The first "Black Scorpion" was a cool B movie but the second was terrible!

The tv series is cheesy but entertaining...Michelle Lintel is gorgeous!!
