I can't find any reviews on the DVDs of Rainbow. What's the picture/sound quality like.

I know that the DVDs are barebones.

I think it is pretty good my friend has it.

"I've got a big red one!"- Zippy

"Can I have a look Zippy"- George:eek:

I have since read a review about one of the two DVDs, titled Zippy Sets Them Up! here (http://www.dvdfever.co.uk/reviews/rainb1.shtml). In the review, it says that the picture and sound quality are OK, but there is one major problem for me. They cut off the starting and end credits. Completeness and all that.

So I won't be spending my money on that. The Men Behaving Badly DVDs didn't have the start or end chapters listed, but they were there.

I'm afraid so. And they did this disgusting thing with Button Moon as well, as I found out on the web. It's a Region 0 release, as is Zippy Sets Them Up!.

I am angry now. I was going to buy that. :(

PLEASE don't tell me it was some pathetic music clearance issue.....
Why bother without the whole thing there?

Well, apparently, when the episodes finish, the screen fades out, you hear the start of the theme tune for a few seconds, and it goes to the menu again.

Which is just plain cruel and unusual, IMHO.
Sigh....

I watched 3 hours of The Flumps last week, and by the time I had got through all the episodes, the theme tune was driving me bloody mad!

Would have been nice for some kind of option to skip to the next one at the end credits, but your only option is to fast forward.

I agree though, that leaving the theme out all together from Rainbow, is kind of harsh!

I have £20 to spend, and I don't really know what to get.

And before anyone ever asks, no no-one else can have it. Suggestions?

I want two or three good DVDs, by the way.
