Anyone interested in the kinds of music these two excellent bands are outputting. Seriously underrated methinks.

I love Muse but am still on the fence about Mars Volta. I hear it's a hard record/band to just get into.

Do they have a new single out with the video is set in some dark and twistedforest? When i saw it I thought it was Radiohead but no tag came up at the end to tell me who it was.

Was it where someone was running through aforementioned forest, then turned into a tree?

If so its radiohead ;)

Last night at a mates the new video for Televators came on MTV2, it has bits in a forest with a green overlay.

Could be it? Awesome song too, best thing I've seen performed live.

Love the Mars Volta De-loused album and i'm eagerly awaiting the next one.

I've only heard Song for Absolution and Hurricanes & Butterflies off Muse's Absolution and they are both utterly marvellous songs. That bass part in Hurricanes & Butterflies gives me goosebumps! Is the rest of the album as good? I borrowed Muse's debut album off a work colleague and it was just TOO depressing for me to get into it so that's put me off buying the new one but I am reconsidering after hearing those 2 tunes.

Seriously underrated methinks.

Steve GriffI wouldn't say either band are underrated, as grounded_dreams pointed out both featured high on our end of year poll and they often get good reviews in the press.

Not really much point in keeping this thread open as both bands have theads you can use. :)
