View Full Version : Friends 10x13 - The One Where Joey Speaks French **Spoilers**
Airs in 40 minutes. All comments here.
Just watched it, not really that good, as expected Joey got the best lines again. Ross & Rachel looks like it might be back on again, or this could be a red herring...
Not many episodes left now (5 inc extended 1 our finale IIRC). I guess it will be on hiatus again soo so we will get more re-runs for a while :|

Was waiting for your review of this before I watch my recording of it.... So there are 18 eps in this series?? I could have sworn there were 16, but I probably read wrong somewhere. At least there are 5 eps left, not the 3 I thought.

Ahhh, thanks for that. I must have got the 6's mixed up. Figured there were 6 eps less this series, but then messed it up n thought it was a 16 ep series. Glad to know there are 2 more.

They have quite a lot to wrap up in the next few episodes (Ross, Rachael & Joey triangle/Monica & Chandlers kid/Joey being able to move to his own show etc). also there are rumours (not sure if 100% confirmed yet) or a one off show at Thanksgiving.
I really hope that they do finish everything off nicely and don't leave things hanging around.
Bit of a :| episode for me.
Airing dates wise, I believe its...
Ep 14 = 26th Feb
Ep 15 = 15th April
Ep 16 = 22nd April
Ep 17 = 29th April
Ep 18 = 6th May

What's with the gap between Ep 14 and Ep 15?

Standard fare with US TV - run a few new episodes then go into repeats for a while before airing another new one. All shows do it (annoyingly)
US TV Networks make a hell of a lot of cash on reruns - hence the long delays in getting the Friends DVD's out

Also with Friends having a shortened run this year they have to put more/bigger gaps in :|
I thought it was a pretty good episode.:D

I still have to wait a few hours before I can see this one, can't believe we have to wait until May for the final episode though.

brilliant - I was in pain laughing at that.
Chandler and Monica are certainly developing a bizarre relationship with the mother of their child. I don't think many adoptions really happen like that, do they?

ooooooooooooh I do hope the Ross/Rachel thing works out. They're the only couple I've ever really believed.

Sweet. I'm off to America in that week so hopefully I will catch the finale when I'm over there and see it before it airs in the UK, YIPEE
Also are you absolutly sure it is 18 Episodes as I thought it was 12 episodes at first, and then I heard 16 episodes from various sources, and now I hear this, so I dont know what to believe.:suspect: :suspect:

Been watching a lot of seinfeld latly and it makes friends look so bad. Yep - Joey was over stupid last week as well.. :| Kryten is obviously on crack thinking he's had the best lines.... :cuckoo:
I've been watching tons of Seinfeld as well - I sooo want to be like Kramer, but I fear I'm more of a George..

But the milk bit at the end? The French bit was way OTT (although Phoebe's talking to the director guy was quite funny).

Joey's been getting the best lines for about the last 5 episodes. He's been fantastic this series.

Watched this one today, must say the French lines annoyed me and the milk thing wasn't really that good. It was still an alright episode, but definately not one of the best.
Yeah didn't like the french lines but I was pleased at a postive portrayl of french for the change. It was amusing at times though. Wasn't interested in the other plots

I think he means not unbelievable. Kramer is a bit OTT but you completly believe in it.
The first French line was great but then they milked it a bit too much.
Ne'ermind that. Rachel was gagging for it.
Ross.......
You foooooooooooooooooooooooooooollll
Jeez if only i was given half the chance.
Ahem!.
Indeedy - she's lookin' mighty fine this season...

Aye hes been like that all the way through the show and you can believe he's actually that mad :)
Another pretty feeble episode. A few good lines but overall it was poor, and Joey's 'French' was just too stupid for words.
Did they really run out of storylines last year? Every episode of this season seems to have been just a batch of insubstantial sub-'plots'. And once again there was no real storyline in this episode whatsoever.
The milk bit was great though!

I love screaming Phoebe, lol. Made me laugh very hard, and so did the "Jimmy-Billy-Bob" bit.
But the Joey/French thing was way OTT. I'm not sure if Channel 4 showing older episodes just before it is neccessarily a good thing. Reminds you just how good it once was.

You and me both mate, you and me both :D
There were a few good bits i thought, Joey had the funniest stuff again, but that French thing went on too long, the audition bit was good as was the milk drinking. Nice to see the Ross/Rachel thing starting to happen, but what a muppet he was for saying no ;)
