View Full Version : DVD Pacific mark customs label with correct value. NOOOO !!
First one ive ever had... hope it doesnt continue.
Box had 3 DVD's in it, and had been stamped with the usual $20 rubber stamp.
But someone had crossed the $20 out & wrote $51 next to it with a pen. :gag:
Thank-fully, no intervention from customs.
And not even the usual clearance stamp by Mount Unplesant.
Funnily enuf, ive just had a £46 order from Amazon Japan that I thought I would defintaley get stung on, but nothing on it at all.
Perhaps they dont care anymore...

raptor this has been long discussed in this thread http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=193886&highlight=pacific
Customs sent them a demand that they have to comply with regulations with correct value otherwise they will be getting into trouble.

What is wrong with that? they are obliged to truthfully state the value ... it is illegal not to!!
indeed it is....
seems they are still getting thru though.

raptor, when you read the above thread you will see that some others have already been stung by customs, just because Customs also read these forums and see which DVD suppliers do not declare the correct value.

Really ? I thought they were more concerned with drug traffiking, and the problems with the importation of tobacco & spirits which cost the government millions every year in lost duty.
Didnt realise they spend their time reading internet chat forums, where illegal activity is not allowed.
They need to get their priorities in order !
They also ought to up the £18 limit, which I think has been the same price level for years. £18 doesn't buy as much as it did 5 years ago.
