Well having played the game on line since Christmas mainly on Team Suvival I have toyed with the idea to suggest starting a DVD Forums Clan :nuts: .
This thread is mainly to see how much interest there is for a Forums clan, I will be happy if an experienced Forums R63 player wants to run the ship and suggest the best way to start one , all i really know is we need to register the clan on the team compete website http://www.teamcompete.com/TCPortal/default.asp
which i have done.

Hopefully we can arrange a match once a week and have a laugh win or lose :D

Well 2 people interested so far :clap: the more people the merrier really, I dont think their is a limit to how many people can be in a clan, but I would say around 10-15 would be a good number.
Depending on who hosts the match and their server capabilities each match will require 5- 6 players which according to a Clan I know lasts for around 1hour - 1hour 1/2 .
It should not matter how inexperienced or experienced a player is, we should rotate the team for each match so each player gets a regular game. Also players will be selected to work round times when they are :
-- Working
-- Sleeping
-- Holiday
-- Girlfriend or Boyfriend

Basically if someone can't get to play that often, they will get a game when they want :thumbs:

I'm game. Only scratched the surface of RS6.3 and all the forum fury about the AR cheats has put me off going Live on it. Utter novice, but keen as moutard....

If we do find cheats on the game, which in my opinion is a small minority we will send bad feedback on the team compete website. I know quite a few of the Uk players and they all wont put up with any cheating within the game :mad:

I've seen a few myself. Blatent cheats using molotov cocktails and 2 primary weapons.
Other times when ive walked up behind someone and shot them a few times in the head without killing them. Might just be my terrible aim mind :|
I hope they sort it soon though.

I tried registering on the Team Compete website earlier. Filled in the online form but for some reason have not yet received the email to activate the membership. This was about 2 hours ago, anyone else have the same problem?

I think i made a mess on team compete website, pressed enter atthe wrong time and didnt go back, expecting it, to return me to the beginning cos i hadnt put an email address in. I tried to register and it says my gamer tag is already taken :searchme:

Well Doll is a natural born killer :nuts: , All those stuggling with registering with Team Compete it's not the easiest site to register on is it :brickwall I had problems the other week .
Still not had an email from them yet, tried to register again but it says gamertag is already in use.
Filled in a form few minutes ago to say I've lost my password, would seem they have the right email address but not received my password yet :( nor the original activation email.

What's this Team Complete lark then?
Team Compete is a website that runs leagues for clans for games like r63, counter strike, ESPN sports games etc . Never played a clan match before so it's new to me , we have already had a challenge by another forums team :p but we need some practice before we accept.
Anyone who wants to help with the Clan please take a step forward , Im not the best leader/organiser in the world :cuckoo:

dont know what it is about Rotherham - i think it has more xbox livers per square mile than the rest of the country.

Eng1and I got R63 from computer exchange for £22 second hand and I think it is reduced in Virgin to around £29 if you are still going to get it. Hope its of some help.
I'll look in Gamestation got it for my brother inlaw last week for £14. If not Virgin it is cheers.

top tip - you wont kill anyone on live unless you use your sights.
once you get used to this and find the gun you are bst suited with, the kills will come eventually.

Another tip: Change your movement sensitivity in options to one that suits you. I think it's 3 by default. This to me is too slow so i bumped it upto 6 and im playing a lot better.
MS still wont have it.
I've just deleted loads of stuff on my hard drive and given the machine a "blow" inside - and we seem to be working OK for now.

I suggest we all where possible can get together on line at the same time, say next Sunday at 2 for instance, then dependant on numbers we can have a dedicated server to the DVDF Clan, two teams practising against eachother?

At last I have finally managed to register with Team Compete :clap: I used my Tiscali email address this time and it worked. For some reason whenever I tried to use my Pipex email address it would not work :searchme:
Had to register my gamer tag as Arthur Daley2 now though.

Don't think it has to be your actual Xbox Live tag.
I would use my actual tag which is Arthur Daley, but since the site is so screwed up I cannot gain access to this tag because they never sent an activation email first time I joined :brickwall and it is now showing as taken.
They must be using one hell of a slow host for that site, also pretty badly designed :(

Cos i what i was thinking was, if we did, wouldnt it be better to play survival rather than team survival, then everyone can hopefully get a kill, cos there is times when you never get a sight of the enemy in team survival, then again i'll play anything :thumbs:

Everyone else, the server will be up again around eight depending on interest (me and rawowl so far) and for the match they are hosting so will have to await details from rawowl of where to go at 9:30.

Joined slip on RS3 after the WooHoo final but got sick of listening to whining American kids :brickwall and logged off prety quickly.

Just caught up with the thread this morning.
Agreed good game lads, bit nerve wracking and all that! I think it was a good introduction cause we started playing more as a team towards the end.
How much did I love it when one of the levels was the one we had been practicing on for the last hour! Sweet...
Next match is Sunday isn't it?

I think what made it harder was, when we were in the lobby we couldnt discuss tactics as they would of heard it, then when the game started we had a split second to decide what was happening and we all left eachother and ran off in our own direction, so next time, i think it will be better if we can get onto a server talk tatics and then if there is enough around have a proper game,also we need to realise that if your the last man, just hide for the draw :D

A clan match has been arranged for 14th March at 7pm
against Team Extreme ( they are beep hot). For the clan members who didnt play in the first match you will have first option to play in this match.
Also I want someone to be the Co-Captain for when Im not available, please let me know if your interested in this role. Think you will have control of the captains options on Team Compete.

what you need to do is get the two teams captains to tell their teams to mute everyone on the other team.
that way you can only speak and hear someone you have unmuted.
the captains remain unmuted for communication purposes.
you can then discuss tactics or slag off the other team to your hearts content:clap:

Well if our last match is anything to go by, we turn up, dont talk and leg it in 5 different directions :nuts: :D
This time im sure it will be different, i suggest we do all this, or get together as a clan and play a few games and get used to playing together :nono: :norty: :nono: then go on from there, i think the best strategy is, say have 2 teams of 2 who stay together with one camping in the spawn and going for the draw if the other 4 die, or a team of 2 and a team of 3, taking an exit apiece, it just depends which map.
Say for Airport 1, in one of the spawns we just need to cover the 3 ways onto our spawn and then go from there :thumbs:
But im 5/4 fav to be shot first in our match :nuts: :D
slip others clans players have been know to view this thread :nono: crap plan anyway :p only kidding :D

I agree with your plan by the way Slip, tactics like we played the other day, cover the three ways they can get in and let each other know if we need backup.
