Catherine Zeta-Jones to star in Ocean's Eleven sequel

I was not actually aware that they were making a sequel.

This time around, Danny and the crew will take on a new member as they attempt three ambitious jobs in Paris, London and Berlin--all while being hunted by Las Vegas casino owner Terry Benedict (Garcia), whom they ripped off in the first movie. Zeta-Jones will play an agent of an Interpol-type police unit.

I liked the first movie, not sure how good this will be though.

Wouldn't this be a very similar role to Entrapment? I'm not bothered as, whatever she has got up to offscreen, I think she's hot.

No, but the rest of it is (until the trailer is released anyway). I was in two minds, but knew if I didn't someone would complain :| Can't win ;)

According to this month's Empire (make of that what you will) the Chinese Acrobat from the original won't be returning. So i guess it's Ocean's 11 pt II unless they want to get Jennifer Aniston in to play a French Maid or something. I'd have no problems with that at all. :D

I love the first film, but that sounds like a truly awful idea for the film, and surely I'm not alone in thinking Catherine Zeta Jones is awful!

Well, the cast and director have all worked togther in one permutation or another before so they obviously all get along. Personally I think this could be great - seeing as "Ocean's 11" is one of the coolest movies ever!

Ocean's 11 is one of my favourites, huge re-watch value because the cast (ok, with one exception) are such fine actors. I don't really think they can go wrong with Ocean's 12 even if the plot turns out to be duff. And Catherine Z-J is pretty good in these kind of action-flick roles.

same cast same director, don't see what could go wrong, plus replacing the chinesee acrobat with CZJ:norty:

only problem I can see is that the writer is the guy who wrote timeline. But I'm sure Soderbergh will look after his film.
