View Full Version : Daily Mirror Free DVDs. Anyone Received Them?
Over the last few weeks I have dutifully collected my tokens and sent them off together with the SAE.
I recall a 28 day turn-around being mentioned and we must now be nearing that maximum limit for the first DVD.
Has anyone received any of theirs yet?
I'm sort of hoping it isn't just me.

I sent away for Face Off ages ago (collected tokens in minimum possible time and sent off same day 1st class) and still havn't received it.
It's funny that I should see this thread as I was considering starting one myself soon.

I received Muriel's Wedding about 10 days ago, none of the others yet.

Oh bugger. Muriel's Wedding is one I sent off for and I've heard nothing. Looks like I've missed out on that somehow.

Was there a limit on the number they were sending out? Which one was first? Muriels Wedding?
And do these come in cardboard sleeves, or in proper cases? Just wondering why they insisted on an A4 envelope?

I presumed they would be promotional carbboard slip cases like the Cabaret one.
I have an AOL DVD case ready and waiting for my Face Off with an inlay printed from CC Covers, I just need the damned DVD now :(

Muriels Wedding was first. I don't remember seeing a limit in the T&C's of the offer.

Muriel's Wedding was the first, the one I got was in a sealed Amaray case - identical to the retail version.
you could just call them and ask. the cs department is very very good and they will log the call and get back to you.
you have to remember that the demand for these will be massive so maybe take that into account.
sent off for Face off ages ago, nothing as of yet.
Muriels Wedding arrive this morning - proper retail version in Amaray case.
Bargain! Looking forward to the rest turning up now!

Got Muriel's Wedding over two weeks ago but no sign of the others. Maybe they're clearing all the Muriel's Wedding ones before they start the rest - probably swamped as well...
Muriel's Wedding arrived for me on Thursday, exactly six weeks after I sent off for it. So much for the 'Please allow 28 days for delivery...' declaration.
By the same token I expect Face Off will turn up at the end of next week after an equally long wait.

Face Off arrived today. Full version of the re-release. Thought it may for one minute have been the flipper!
All looks well with this promotion afterall.

I posted all my tokens at 8am on the morning of the last voucher (using the speedy 2 voucher method) - and so far all I have received yesterday is......

Face Off arrived this morning.
I sent all of my vouchers off on the final token day of each DVD offer and have still only got poxy Muriel's wedding! I got this about two - three weeks ago.
That was the one of the four i wasn't really bothered about getting....!
Let's hope the others turn up soon!

I don't think you can seriously blame the postal system - the delays are clearly at the senders end (and can't be much of a surprise to anyone).
FWIW, I have sent off for all the DVDs, and have received Muriel's Wedding and (yesterday) Face Off. Given that they are sending us release copies, I am more than happy to accept a little extra delay.

Well, every other item of post is getting delayed too over here.. first class letters are arriving eight days after being posted, and stuff like that. But yeah, they are late sending the DVDs out as well. :)
Face/Off came today, and I've already trashed the case. Bugger.:|
Received Enemy of the State today or rather yesterday. :clap:

i got them all too... recieved Good Will Humping about 3 weeks ago :)
Good Will Hunting arrived today. Seems they are getting there slowly but surely as I've now got all the titles I asked for.
