View Full Version : 24 Season 3 Episode 13 - 1am - 2am (01:00 - 02:00) **Spoilers**
Airs in an hour. Looks awsome although they just let a spoiler out in the trailer (luckily I already knew it from last weeks trailer).
Ok, good episode, some nice twists, was not expecting the baby to be Chase's at all, I thought it might be Jack's for a while, but was wrong (presuming there is not more twists with it!). The virus piece was a bit stupis really with the way it was activated.
Milligan being dead could add a lot to the president storyline now though...
And the trailer for next week, well not quite as much of an OMG as usual, but still looks good :)

I thought Chase could be the father when they cut away to show Kim looking at Chloe and Schapelle, but it was still a shock.
Don't mess with Sherry! How harsh was that, making Milligan's missus watch him die! I reckon it could all come to a head with the other bloke who threatened Palmer dying in the same night as well(Even if it was suicide).
Now everyone is finished in Mexico it should get even better as the tension builds.

Yeah me to - should be interesting when they all get back to CTU!!

WOAH! What a cracking episode. I luv this show. :luv:
Cheekster.
I wasn't impressed with the baby storyline.
it stinks of a cheap soap opera.
Chapelle gets all the best lines.
OMG at Sherry.
OMG at the trailer for next week's episode.
Sorry I can't help saying that every week.
Stand out thing for me in this episode was that after two and a half seasons I have just noticed the size of Sherry's nostrils!!
I found it hard to keep with the story for a while there. ;)
Finally I get to post in a 24 season 3 thread, I started watching it about a week and a half ago and Im finally caught up now :D
I cant believe they managed to get a character more annoying than Kim- namely Chloe :D
The Presidents storyline was pretty dull until Sherry came back- its great now- wait till Palmer finds out what Sherry did
That was a nice little twist this week with Nina bringing down CTU, it was great to see Jack with a massive smile on his face after he told her that CTU was back online though:lol:
I was beginning to wonder where Ramon Salazars character could go but hes dead so there we go- it was good to see Joaquin De Almedia in it, I really enjoyed him in Desperado
Overall Im just pleased 24 has managed to stay at the same excellent standard of the previous 2 series. The only bummer is now I have to wait a week between episodes:( :p :

Know what you mean, I did the same thing over last weekend - 12 episodes in two sittings, really made for gripping telly.

Cound't agree more. I thought Sherry stole the show in this episode and the whole series is much the better for her return!
Not sure what the significance of the baby is yet though, but judging by the coverage its getting its got a pretty big contribution yet no doubt!

I'm just glad we know who's it is. I wonder who the mother is and how come Chole ended up looking after it?
Hear what Chase said to Nina? "If you play Jack one more time he's gonna kill ya". Hrmm, I wonder if the end of Nina is near. Once Jack knows CTU doesn't need Nina for intel anymore, if he gets the chance, I reckon he'll kill her Victor Drezen style?
I'm looking forward to a Nina v Kim cat fight.

I was sitting there saying to myself "Its Jack and Kates baby". The 24 proved me wrong again :D

Hmmm, this could get confusing with Sky airing the episode from exactly 12 hours behind, meaning that as I post this there are 24 series 3 1AM-2AM, and 24 Series 3 1PM to 2PM at the top of the pile.
Also thought it was another good one! Didn't Chloe say the baby wasn't hers but was covering for a freind. So it's Chase's and someone elses.
Should start to get very exciting now they are almost back in LA but one thing has annoyed me in the past few episodes....
..What's happend to Jacks heroin cravings???? In the 1st say 6 episodes all he could do was stuggle to fight his heroin addiction yet in the last maybe 4-5 episodes no mention of it has been made and he hasn't shown any of these earlier symptons. Why is this? Forgot about it when writing further episodes??
Anyone else noticed this?
EDIT: Also another point is on the PDTV versions are you finding the quality getting slightly worse with regards pixelating? Only ask as I've seen an PDTV ep of SATC tonight and the picture was superb, better than C4 would show it anyway. Is it because it was capped from HBO who use HDTV? (Mods remove if you feel it breaks any rules)

The one has Episode 1 in the title, the other Episode 13 - bit of a giveaway if you ask me! ;)
Wozwebs - Agree, that version does seem to be getting slightly worse. It is still miles better than the vcd versions though.
Oh yeah, much sharper and in Widescreen also but just seens more pixelated as the weeks go on. I am watching via my xbox on a 32" WS TV. Friends & SATC versions are far superior in picture quality. Perhaps it's the 'grainy' style of 24 anyway that doesn't come across well, particuarly in the dark scenes.
No one agree about the heroin addiction going missing??

The HDTV 1080i broadcast is very nice :D

From what I gather, didn't Jack:
Take the methodone tablets from Salazar?
and, from the spoilers I've read up on:
The Heroin addiction thread comes back later on in the day, and causes Jack some real problems
As to the quality, I find the PDTV versions fine - I've switched to those from the other versions knocking about, and they're certainly for me on a par with the Sky broadcast.

But doesn't everyone at CTU know about Jack's problem now - so he could get some more methodone tablets from them.

no, only the management do, the revelation about Jack's addiction comes out properly next episode (14 or 15) I think.
Good episode, but it left me wondering why Amodore bothered setting up the deal with Jack and Nina. Attempting to rip off a group of terrorists was a big risk to take when he could have got more money by actually selling the virus, and if that was worth the risk then surely it couldn't be worthwhile to bring in two separate groups for the sake of the small amount more money he'd get from making them outbid each other!

Well I thought the main point of it was to kill Nina with the bomb. However, how did he know Nina would win the bid? :searchme:

I didn't think he was targetting Nina, just whoever was stupid enough to buy the fake virus! Did he have any reason to want to kill Nina?
24 is rapidly becoming a case of spot the people from Sci-Fi/Fantasy shows:
Sherry Palmer: Deep Space Nine
Milligan's Wife: Firefly, Angel
David Palmer's Brother: Buffy
New IT Bloke at CTU: Angel
I think Chase may have been in Dinotopia, but I could be wrong.
Any I've missed? :D

Good show. Sherry was ace, she always brings up the quality of the show. I was in hysterics watching her tiptoe through milligans room. some things i'm not sure about with that though.
1) the cameras. if julia is questioned over milligan's death, won't they notice that the cameras were turned off and start asking her why?
2) how could they ever prove anyway that they didn't help milligan when he was dying? and could that be construed as murder?

A fantastic episode last night - LOVED the way Nina was so confident that the worm would bring down CTU's computer systems, only for Chloe to fix it
Nina:I don't beleive you
Jack: I couldn't give a toss what you beleive love :D
(or words to that effect)
Although a massive fan of series 1 and 2, i was having my doubts about this one, but I think it's really starting to turn around now and is a cracking show once more :)

I was thinking that but then we don't know if they were actually turned off!

Well, if it looks like he died of a heart attack (natural causes) then surely there'd be no need to check whether the cameras were on?

Doesn't the surgeon who Corday is about to get it on with in ER appear in 24 at some point ??

Surely if Chloe was doing her job properly then she would have installed the Enteprise edition of NAV on all the machines and made sure they were all running 'auto' LiveUpdate ;)

Is anybody else amazed at the ability of everyone in this to remember really complex numbers and passwords?
I struggle to remember my password half the time yet Nina can string off a complex pattern of digits while having a gun held to her head.
I want someone at CTU to have to look at a bit of paper next time Shapel asks them for the Satalite uplink thingy-code. ;)

I'd expect highly trained Counter Terrorist agents to be able to remember complex things like that TBH :p

I guess my chances of become an integral part of CTU are getting a bit slim then.
Not quite sure Tony would like to be interupted in the middle of a Terrorist situation with "Erm..... Tony..... I can't get the colour printer to work & my mouse keeps sticking."
