Mike Tyson 'has just £3,000 cash left'
Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has blown nearly all of the £160 million he earned in the ring, according to bankruptcy papers.
At the end of last year, the boxer had just £3,000 in cash left.
He filed for bankruptcy in August, claiming that he owes £14.4 million, including £9.1 million in tax.
The papers, seen by the New York Daily News and CNN, also suggest some unusual spending and earning records.
In December, he earned £385,000 but spent just £45.
The papers, filed in the US Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan, also showed that in November he spent £11,800 but earned only £3.
Tyson became well known for his lavish spending habits.
The 37-year-old once bought two pet white Bengal tigers for a reported cost of about £40,000.
He also bought expensive jewellery, luxury holidays and, according to the papers, gave more than £500,000 in gifts to people whose names he "does not recall".
In a bid to get out of debt, Tyson plans to return to the ring in May or June.
