Safety work gloves needed

You know the ones with the non-slip rubber bits on the palm and finger tip area :help:

I found a sweet looking pair by doing a search but the site was in the US :cry:

If you work on an industrial estate, these often have a safetywear outlet on the estate (or nearby).. you could try Greenhams or Safewear or check your yellow pages.

Generally, stylish and safety do not go together, as it is better to prevent something bad happening rather that looking good and still alowing the damage to be done. If your realy serious about a pair of gloves for protection whilst working, you need to check out what gloves you actually need and what regs apply to the level of protection required. You may find a pair that you view as fashionalble to wear, but I wouldn't hold out on it.

Are these gloves for your own use, or to be used at your place of work ? If the latter, you should try and get your employer to supply them (they should do this free of charge).

If your employer does supply the golves already and you have an accident which could have been prevented (or limited) by the use of your work supplied gloves, but you were not wearing them (or wearing your own) then you might be in for a tough time should you seek redress.

What I need are lightweight gloves that provide grip when handling items that are dark in colour so don't look dirty the moment I pick something up.

The only stuff I've found look like something my gran would wear or gloves that look like they glow in the dark or something :suspect:

I do recall some gloves by tog24 I think which had some rubber pads for better grip, a bit like the totes socks... not sure where you might get these though.... have a google for tog24.
