As a great admirer (to say the least!) of Rachael Leigh Cook I remembered hearing about this film and wondered if it is worth buying? I've had a quick flick through the J&TPC thread in the DVD review forum and am still not sure wether to buy it or not. Any further comments on this film? Is it actually a good film? If not does Rachael Leigh Cook being in it excuse a bad film?! :D
*not sure wether that last line makes any sense but maybe someone will be able to decipher it :)*
It's actually a really smart satire in the same vein as The Brady Bunch Movies. and the music ain't bad either! I say get it! and if you are smitten by RLC then surely it's a must buy!
It's a fantastic film with lots of repeat viewing potential.
Funny, brilliant music AND:
A scene with Rachel Leigh Cook sans bra
Decent features on the disc too.
Infact I think they should release Backdoor Lover and One Small Word as singles!!
:D

Excelent film on a very decent disc.
3 music videos if I remember correctly, a bunch of behind the scenes stuff, commetaries etc etc etc.
I brought it when it was first released thinking it would be alright, and was surprised by just how good it is.
Come to think of it, its a similar type of comedy to Austin Powers, if you hate popbands and MTV, you'll love it.:D

Did anybody else find themselves singing Backdoor Lover in public without realising after watching the film ?.
I watched it this afternoon are thought it was very enjoyable easy to watch and really quite clever.
The special features arn't bad either and your right Racheal Leigh Cook is lovely.
I am trading my copy if you are interested.

Thanx for the replies, judging by the spoiler I may have to splash out (eww :)) for this!
Grumpy - I'm not really up for trading. The only title I'd seperate with is Wild Wild West! But if you fancy selling it then please let me know :)
how did they get a song called backdoor lover past the censors ?
:p
yeah, I enjoyed this immensely - although some of that was simply drooling at RLC!
The end was a bit silly I thought, but there was some great little comedy moments. I was surprised to see Seth Green and Breckin Meyer turn up and the 'boyband' videos on the extras are superb!
Rachel Leigh Cook in kitty ears - reason enough for a purchase!

I agree with all the above. Its a great film. Got it 'blind' in a trade and am very happy with it.
One question, is there 2 versions? A PG and a PG13 version? Only ask as someone in the classy's mentioned it.

Another thumbs up from me. A fine way to spend 90+ mins, just switch off and be easily entertained, and Rachel Leigh Cook looks fantastic.
And don't be surprised if you find yourself crooning 'Backdoor Lover' like Jimmyboy, infact the entire soundtrack is very infectious.
Good all round movie, and just check out that product placement. :D
