The One With The Maggots has finally been confirmed, for all of you interested out there.
Extras include...
+ " Global Conspiracy" - Man Alive's original 70's environmental reporter, Terry Scanlon, revisits Llanfairfach thirty years on, where troubles seem to be resurfacing... (Think Panorama Investigates)
+interviews with Robert Sloman, Stewart Bevan and effects designer Colin Mapson (who shows us how to build our own giant maggot!)
+Photo Gallery
I think there's a commentary somewhere too, probably with Letts, Manning and Courtney...
What makes this DVD extra special for me, is that Global Conspiracy thing. Particularly a photograph on this link....

Yes they were!
That's why *that* feature will be comedy genius, I predict...

It's not very good this one is it? Padded and dull.

I love "Green Death" - padded it may be, but it's one of the finest comedy Dr Who stories around. Hippies, condoms and Jon Pertwee in a dress - what more do you want?

This has long been one of my favourite episodes of Dr. Who, and now it's finally coming to DVD. The book adaptation was good enough (I read it a lot when I were a nipper) but to see it on-screen was even better. I can't wait to get this one!

Stories were often padded to 6 episodes for financial reasons. Three 4 episode series involve 3 scripts, 3 lots of cast, 3 lots of costumes, locations and sets where as 2 series of six episodes involve 2 of each of the above.

Apparently, tons of proper extras were left of of this disc to make room for this 'extra'. The fans will not be happy when they find out...

An outtake of that docu

I take it you had something to do with the making of it?
Ah, the Green Death episode, which I remember watching from behind the settee and having nightmares afterwards. Fantastic!
Boink!

Never did like this story much - I wish they'd get around to The Sea Devils and The Daemons though, as they're two of my favorites.

"Chap with the wings - Five rounds rapid fire!"
The Beeb made a big deal out of the restoration they did on The Daemons so I don’t know why they’re not releasing it yet. :cuckoo:
The Daemons episode was filmed a couple of miles from me!
Got my photo taken all over there!

he he, I've been there. It's the Mecca for Dr Who fans!
I didn't have anything to do with the disk, but I read the forum of the people who do. It's very interesting!
www.restoration-team.co.uk for anyone who's interested.
BTW, I doubt the Deamons (or the Sea Devils) will be released for a while. I think the team have said that when they release it, they'd like to re-colour the whole thing from scratch, and the technology to do it all propperly is a bit expensive at the moment.
That's why we don't have many Dalgado stories. They're all really low quality, except Fronteir in Space...

Nope, never would... (me seeks out that pic on Kazaa :norty: ) :D
Without Katy Manning, this episode would have been a bit dull.

I love The Green Death. It's one of the most charming Who stories - everything seems to move at such a leisurely pace, they all sit around eating dinner at night, having friendly conversations, reading before bed... there's a genuine sense of reality which isn't often present in the show.
And Katy Manning's leaving scene is one of the best!

There was something implied between the Doctor and Jo, which is quite evident in the way he handles her departure in this as I recall.:suspect:

Yeah - he wanted to get into her pants, no question about that.

Perhaps they's already had a alcohol fuelled liason at some point in the past, and while she'd passed it off as a bit of fun, he always felt it might go further at some point?
