View Full Version : Best living footballer?
"Manchester United's Roy Keane and Arsenal's Thierry Henry have been named in Fifa's list of 100 greatest players.
Former Brazilian international Pele chose the list of living players to mark Fifa's centenary celebrations.
Keane and Henry are joined in the top five to be named by former Germany striker Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Italy's Roberto Baggio and Mia Hamm of America.
The remaining players will be revealed at a dinner in London on 4 March to which all 100 stars have been invited. "
What do ya think of that?

Id certainly include Kenny Dalglish on the list-the best player Ive ever seen in a Liverpool shirt.
I wonder how long it will be until some buffoon types the name of a poor player from their current squad and thinks its the funniest thing theyve ever seen!!:cuckoo:

Agreed, by a mile
George Best, it's a shame his post football 'career' has overshadowed the sheer talent he possessed. Truly the greatest footballer ever produced by the UK (ok, NI).
it's not really a 100 greatest players ever, as the criteria means that there's 50 'current' players. So it could mean that 90 current players were better than any who have played before (extremely unlikely), but 40 of those would miss out. Vice Versa for the 'past' players.
