Dumbo 60th Anniversary

Does anyone have this (R1) yet and care to comment on the quality etc?
Also is the R2 re-release of "Dumbo" that appeared this week (with what looks to be some of the same extras as R1 - but not all) actually the 60th Anniversary re-issue as well?
And can anyone confirm what I've heard about Di$ney cutting out portions of this film over the years?? I'm not all that familiar with this particular film so any info would be great!

yes, i'd like to know also, as this is one of my favourite disney movies. I've noticed disney went all out for Snow White with a 2 disc box set in the form of a hardback book... will Dumbo get anything like that.. ? what about Pinnocheo?

I think "Pinnochio" is one of the titles up for the Platinum treatment. I don't know what year though. AFAIK "Beauty & the Beast" is to be the next.

thanks for the heads up baps. Bit concerned that they will cancel the order though as it states for the free shipping offer: "Offer valid for released products only (Pre-orders will automatically be cancelled)" Dumbo is a pre-order title.

The offer includes discs released on 23rd October - which Dumbo is :)
