off the top of my head....

Hell On Earth Saga = Legend of the Overfiend Movie, Legend of the Demon Womb movie, Urotusukidoji 3 (Return of the Overfiend) and Urotsukidoji 4 (Inferno Road)....the last of these must be pure filth as the BBFC cut it bigtime.

Perfect Collection = the original 5 OVA (Original Video Animation) episodes of Urotsukidoji that were cut down and edited together to make the Overfiend and Demon Womb movies that were released in Western countries....the perfect collection has more footage (i think upto 50mins if the running times on AnimeonDVDs reviews are correct) and a (again, I think) more fleshed out storyline but of course probably also contains a tad more sex/violence (or both as is the case!)....

Someone else will probably give you a better description, but thats the basic jist of it...

Actually the BBFC rejected outright one episode of Urotsukidoji IV - which probably means it's some sort of "must-see"

Also remember the Hell On Earth boxset is also cut.

The Perfect Collection is the only way to see the series in its original uncut form, also IIRC there is a minute piece of mosaicing in the set but apart from that it is uncut.

I think it was inferno road that was shown on the scifi channel a little while back, and the reviewer said that nearly an hours footage had been cut from that alone

I think this is okay to link to. If you have a rummage around http://www.melonfarmers.co.uk you can see pictures of what's been cut from Urotsukidoji I, II and III.

The Perfect Collection only covers the first 5 OVAs, which were edited down into Urotsukidoji I&II. II features a few fuzz out dots inherited from the japanese master tapes, but hardly features any hardcore activity anyway.

Another bad thing about the single movie release versions is that they have english and japanese audio, but no subtitles :(

Jeez, I thought these were gona be interesting, but all of them are just sick rape cartoons, with some monster with dozens of male genitalia growing out of every possible place raping anime girls...ugh.
This and La Blue Girl and Ima Youjo, etc

:)

The British version has all the rape scenes and most of the consensual sex cut out. Bear in mind that the only decent part is Urotsukidoji I, as everythibng else is a load of @@@@@@@@.

There must be more than one "Perfect Collection" then.

I bought mine in New York last year, a two disk set running at a little over 4 hours in total.

The disks break own into :

Disk 1 : Part #1 - Birth of the Overfiend
Part #2 - Curse of the Overfiend
Part #3 - Final Inferno

Disk 2 : Part #1 - Legend of the Demon Womb
Part #2 - Battle of the Shinjuku Skyscrapers

Disk one also breaks down into tv style episodes, with the voice-over telling of the three worlds appearing at the beginning of each (a total of six episodes). Disk two is similar, but only breaks down into five episodes.

Basically, disk one is pretty good, disk two just gets really sick.
